I liked the idea of doing cool token things with job select and our guy buffing them up, and if he explodes we can bring in a zombie and then buff our stuff again by recasting from adventure
My attempt to make a full party deck using the Final Fantasy Garland at the Chaos Shrine Scene Box. The goal is to get a full party on the table and let shenanigans happen.
Sharlayan’s wonder twins partner up to sling spells and prevent anyone else from slinging any spells. Let your opponents fight it out while you control the battlefield with counterspells and hide behind deterrants.
Use Rydia’s Landfall to put Enchantment Creatures in the graveyard, and her tap ability to pull them back out. High chance to get a high mana cost creature on potentially turn 3 Yuna’s Whistle, and the few low mana creatures earn their keep.
The goal of this deck is to try and cast Sephiroth, Planet’s Heir for as much value as he can get. With any luck you’ll get a good chunk of counters by the time he’s ready to be cast. Sephiroth’s Intervention is mostly for flavor, but by the time your Party Leader is on the board, targeted removal becomes very useful to further power him up.
